October 2024Sublime is not just a bookmarking tool. It helps you actually do things with the stuff you save from across the internet. One approach to this is Collections.

We wanted to go further and allow for more freeform thinking. And the way this usually works in the real world is by arranging content spatially on a whiteboard.

So this is what we built. A virtual whiteboard based on Tldraw that’s deeply integrated with all inspiration you’ve saved in Sublime.

If you have an idea, in two clicks you’ll see everything you’ve curated on the topic, so you can form your own connections and opinions.

Here’s a nice demo of the whole thing.

October 2025—We’re continuing to improve the Canvas: improving performance, integrating the canvas more into Sublime etc etc.

Seems that people really like it, and bring it up as a major reason for why to pay for Sublime!

We want to experiment with more AI integrations, but the models don’t seem to be there yet.
