March 2023—The year is 2023 and Sublime is still called Startupy. They have a very confusing website. But I stumble across a mission statement that resonates:
Spending endless hours falling down internet rabbit holes? Being caught in a stream of content hoping for a breakthrough?
I reach out to them and we start working together. Turns out they have designs for what would become “Sublime”: a combination of effortless bookmarking, personal knowledge management system, and social network for inspiration.
The intriguing thing: it’s geared towards actually doing something with the things you save, particularly helping with creative projects.

June 2023—But for that to work, saving stuff needs to fit into people’s workflow.
So building on learnings from Unclutter, I create a browser extension where you can save anything on your screen with a maximum of two clicks. It handles text, links, images, screenshots, files, etc.
We continue to improve and exand it over the next months / years:
August 2023—There’s now an iOS app too, building on similar ideas of quick saving!
January 2024—You can now import highlights from Kindle and Readwise!
July 2024—The extension gets more and more powerful, showing you related content from your library.
August 2024—There’s now a Raycast integration!
October 2024—The idea of Sublime Canvas is born, first as a prototype.
March 2025—More and more improvements for Canvas.
May 2025—Expanding the iOS app to be the best at saving content.
August 2025—Importing from Instgram & X bookmarks is live! (was super difficult technically because they have no good API)
To summarize, this collaboration is very fruitful.
A lot of technical work behind the scenes, to make the product simple.
